You should've done this ages ago. Give 'em a good lesson," Amelia said, clearly thrilled about Isabella's newfound resolve.

After sharing the good news, Isabella mentioned she was planning to get a divorce the next day.

Amelia felt bad about Isabella's short-lived marriage but stood by her decision.

Night fell, a bar perched on the rooftop. Michael held a glass of wine, gazing at the lights below.

His buddy, Benjamin White, walked over with his own glass of wine.

"I heard you got hitched. Is the bride a looker?" Benjamin teased.

Michael pulled out his phone and casually showed Benjamin a photo of Isabella.

"Wait a sec! She looks familiar. Isn't she John's fiancée?" Benjamin said, stunned.

Michael nodded. "I had no clue who she was at first."

Benjamin burst out laughing. "No way! You actually married John's fiancée?"

He laughed so hard he almost cried. Michael shot him a fierce glare, and Benjamin finally stopped.

Michael took a sip of his wine and said, "Tomorrow, we're getting a divorce. This ridiculous marriage ends."

"She's gorgeous. Are you really gonna let her go?" Benjamin asked.

Michael thought of Isabella's calm demeanor, like a princess in that big chimney.

He hesitated for a moment but then firmly replied, "I hate drama."

Benjamin shrugged, raised his glass, and said, "Well, Michael, here's to your happy divorce. Too bad I have surgery tomorrow; otherwise, I'd totally hang out with you."

"I'm not sad; I don't need your company," Michael rolled his eyes and walked away from the rooftop with his glass of wine.

The next morning, Isabella left home to head to City Hall. She had to stick to the agreement with Michael.

"Weird, why won't the car start?" Isabella tried several times, but the car just wouldn't start.

Just then, a taxi passed by her apartment. Isabella flagged it down and got in.

She didn't notice the driver was wearing a mask and kept glancing at her through the rearview mirror.

After she told him her destination, the driver started the car. But halfway there, Isabella realized they weren't heading to City Hall.

When she tried to ask the driver what was going on, he suddenly stopped the car, lunged from the driver's seat with a handkerchief, pressed it against her face, and made her pass out.

Isabella struggled, trying to open the door, but her strength faded, and she lost consciousness.

Meanwhile, Michael had arrived at City Hall. He checked his watch, frowning because Isabella was nowhere in sight.

For some reason, Michael felt a knot in his stomach, so he called Isabella.

Her phone was ringing like crazy in the back seat of the taxi, but she was already out cold and couldn't answer. The driver had no intention of helping either.

The driver sped towards the hospital, where a medical team and a gurney were waiting.

Michael stared at his phone, feeling more and more uneasy. Little did he know, Isabella was already handcuffed to a hospital bed and being wheeled into the operating room.

Just as Michael was debating whether to go look for Isabella, he saw a crowd of people surrounding a young man heading his way.

"Mr. Williams, are you really going to finalize the marriage contract with Ms. Taylor today?"

"Rumors say there's a rift between you and Ms. Taylor. Is that true?"

"Mr. Williams, where did the injury on your wrist come from? Can you tell us?"

Reporters swarmed John as he walked towards City Hall, and Michael quickly ducked into a corner.

'Why is John here?' Michael wondered.

John walked towards City Hall, looking annoyed by the reporters' questions. He didn't want to marry Isabella today, but Mason had ordered it.

In the hospital's operating room, Isabella briefly regained consciousness and saw Bianca.

'Bianca? Is she trying to take my kidney by force? I can't believe John would go this far. He's a madman!' Fear gripped Isabella, but she quickly realized something was off.

Bianca wasn't in surgical scrubs but regular patient clothes. If she really wanted Isabella's kidney, she'd be lying in bed, not standing there.

'Bianca is deceiving me, deceiving everyone. She doesn't need a kidney transplant. Is she trying to kill me?' Isabella was terrified by her own thoughts, realizing just how malicious Bianca was.

"Dr. White, the patient is ready." A group of people surrounded a male doctor in surgical attire.

Benjamin entered the operating room and frowned when he saw Bianca standing there without any protective gear.

"Who is this woman? How did she get in here? This is a surgery, not a circus!" Benjamin's angry voice startled everyone.

Bianca looked annoyed at Benjamin. She was only there to watch Isabella die on the operating table.

"Dr. White, actually, I'm in charge of today's surgery. You just need to observe and make sure nothing goes wrong," another doctor said coldly.

Benjamin furrowed his brow, sensing something was off. There was a big problem with today's surgery!

"Alright, let's get started then." Benjamin nodded, still trying to figure out what was going on. He planned to keep a close eye on things.

As Benjamin approached the operating table and saw Isabella's face clearly, his eyes widened in shock.
